How to Create New Tasks

Tasks help you streamline workflows and ensure every step in your process is completed

Overview

You can create a new Task within your Lead or Job, or directly through the Tasks Tab. Select  to create a new task or click the drop-down to use a saved template to import Tasks.

Proceed to enter a Task Name and Category to determine where it appears in the pipeline view. You can also add a description for more details. Set a Department and select an assignee who will be notified when the task is allocated. Select a due date, either a specific date or one linked to the completion of a schedule item (available once the task is assigned to a Job).

You have the option to add Tags to filter & group tasks easily. This is also useful for bulk updates to assignees, statuses, or due dates. You can also create a Checklist to outline the steps or requirements for the task. Use the checklist field to type your checklist item and press Enter to save.

💡You have the option to click  to print out your task list & information.

ℹ️ Enter your checklist in order, as you cannot reorder your items once entered. You can also tick them off as you move through your checklist.

Once you have entered all your information, click Save & Close to add your new Task.

How to add Task Notes

Select theicon underneath Task Details. Use this icon to add messages or notes for yourself and other users. Use the text box to type your message and click to submit. Your message will now appear under the Task title, including the contact name and time of creation. You can proceed to Edit, Delete, or Close this Task.

How to add Task Attachments

Select the icon to add attachments or photos to the task. Next, select the button to browse your network files, or drag and drop files into the Attachments section.

How to set a Task Reminder

Select the  icon to set reminders and follow-ups for a task. Click the ✏️ icon to set the date, time, and enter a task description. Enable Send an SMS to deliver the reminder via both email and text. Once all details are complete, click Save to confirm. You can also enable a completion notification to automatically send an email when the task is marked as complete.
