How to Create a Selection Set

Streamlining the selection process for your clients

Overview

Creating a selection set for your Job types is a great way to streamline your project management process for your clients. To create a new selection set, navigate to the  Job > Project Management > Selections and click .

A pop-up menu will appear to for to name the selection set, select a cost category, and choose a selection type.

 

Choose the appropriate selection type:

  • Selection Approval – Used when your client makes their selections at a third-party supplier or during an appointment. If the selection changes the cost, the client will need to approve the selection and confirm the variation.

  • Single Choice – Use this when multiple options are available, but the client can only choose one. The option can be set at $0 or include an additional cost.

  • Multiple Choice – Use this when clients can select more than one option. For example, a Basin and Tap (Laundry) selection set may include four tap options and four basin options for the client to mix and match.

Once you have chosen your selection type, click  to create your new selection set. 

Allowance Allocation 

Use the drop-down menu to add your allowance item and value. This will link your selection to a budget allowance. If there’s no allowance and the cost changes from the approved budget, a variation will be automatically created for approved selections.

Selection Detail

Scroll down to the Selection Detail section to begin adding your selection options. Type your selection in the Selection / Option Name text box, and click  .

Once your option has been created, you have the option to add a description in the text box and import an image by clicking . Use the menu bar to create a table and import detailed images and further product specifications.

Use the drop and drag method to upload attachments or click browse to search your network files. Click   to set up all budget information and set a cost item and value. 

💡You can add a catalogue or assembly item to your selection option.

Finalise Selection Set

Once you have created your selection options, click to send an email to your client for approval. If you need to make any changes after releasing the selections, simply change the status from Released back to Draft. You can manually approve selections by clicking . The approved selections will automatically update and appear in your job budget.
