Link an Allowance to a Selection Set

Automatically track allowances and variations in your selection sets

JACK tracks your allowances as selections are made, creating approved variations and automatically updating your job budget.

To link an allowance to a selection set, navigate to Jobs > select the relevant job > Project Management > Selections > choose the relevant selection set or add a new selection set.

Unlink a Variation

If a selection set already has a variation linked, you won’t be able to add an allowance. To do so, navigate to Job Financials > Variations > Link to selection set and remove the existing link from the variation. After unlinking the variation, navigate back to Project Management > Selections.

Add an Allowance

Scroll to Allowance Allocation, and select the allowance item(s) from the drop-down to link to the selection set.  If the cost changes from the approved budget, a variation will be automatically created for approved selections.

Click to confirm any changes.
